Position: Senior Software Engineer Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $90,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: Cranbourne East VIC 3977 Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java development, microservices architecture, cloud technologies, and enterprise test automation. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering scalable software solutions, building REST APIs, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and working in Agile delivery environments. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality enterprise applications for large-scale clients across banking, telecommunications, infrastructure, or automotive domains. Key Duties and Responsibilities: ·Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot. ·Build scalable and secure microservices and distributed system solutions. ·Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for secure system integrations. ·Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. ·Identify system bottlenecks and implement performance optimisations. ·Support cloud-based deployments and application reliability in AWS environments. ·Contribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements and deployment automation. ·Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure coding standards and quality practices. Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices ·Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. ·Develop and maintain automated test solutions using Tricentis Tosca, Cypress, or UFT. ·Troubleshoot production issues and support production systems, monitoring incident resolution and release activities. ·Provide technical guidance and mentor junior team members. Requirements: ·Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field ·A minimum of five (5) years of professional software engineering and Test automation experience preferred. Experience in banking, telecommunications, automotive, or infrastructure domains. Exposure to enterprise-scale applications and cloud-native systems. ·Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot. ·Experience designing and developing Microservices architecture. ·Hands-on experience with REST APIs and distributed systems. ·Experience supporting production deployments and release management ·Knowledge of AWS cloud services and deployment processes. ·Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. ·Strong SQL and database knowledge. ·Experience in test automation with Tricentis Tosca/Cypress or UFT is desirable Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA and HP ALM.
