Where Talent Meets Opportunity As a Process Operator (Boiler Operator) at Wilmar Sugar and Renewables, you'll be responsible for operating the super-heated boilers, turbine generators, ash handling systems and bagasse system. This position is based at Kalamia Mill in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. The Burdekin region offers a fantastic lifestyle with a warm climate, beautiful beaches and a range of recreational activities, making it a great place to live and work. During the crushing, this position operates on a continuous rotating shift roster, which may include weekends and occasional overtime. Once the crushing is complete and the Mill enters the maintenance period, the role switches to a day work schedule. Your Role in Action Smooth Operator : Operate and monitor boiler station to ensure sufficient levels of steam are driving the alternators which generate power for factory operations and external demands. Clear & Concise: Provide regular and accurate feedback to Mill management on station performance . Ready, Set, Competent : Willing and able to achieve relevant sugar milling module competencies. Collaboration Crew : Assist with the professional development of boiler assistants. Safety Guardian: Show a strong commitment to safety. Your Winning Combination Our ideal candidate must have a High Risk Work Licence for Turbine Operator (TO) and Advanced Boiler Operator (BA). Whilst applicants with High-Risk Work Licences (e.g. Working Safely at Heights and Confined Spaces) are desirable, we are prepared to provide training to those who show the right aptitude and fit.
