We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Welfare Worker to join our growing team. Position Overview As a Welfare Worker, you will provide support and assistance to individuals, families, and vulnerable members of the community experiencing social, emotional, financial, or personal difficulties. You will assess client needs, develop support plans, and coordinate welfare and community services to improve overall wellbeing and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Conduct interviews and assessments to determine clients’ welfare and support needs Assess the nature and extent of difficulties experienced by individuals and families Develop, implement, and review individual care and support plans Provide information, support, advocacy, and referrals to appropriate services and agencies Monitor client progress and evaluate the effectiveness of support programs Liaise with healthcare professionals, community organisations, and government agencies Assist clients in accessing housing, healthcare, financial assistance, employment, and community services Maintain accurate client records, reports, and case notes in accordance with organisational policies Support clients in achieving greater independence, wellbeing, and social participation Promote culturally sensitive and person-centred care practices Assess community needs and available welfare resources and services Skills and Qualifications AQF Diploma or higher qualification in Community Services, Welfare, Social Work, Disability, Aged Care, or related field Strong passion for supporting vulnerable individuals and improving community wellbeing Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds Strong organisational, problem-solving, and case management skills High level of professionalism, integrity, and reliability Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Fluent English communication skills; bilingual abilities will be highly regarded Preferred Requirements Previous experience in welfare support, community services, disability support, or aged care Current National Police Check Current First Aid Certificate Valid Driver Licence preferred
