About the role We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Application Engineer to support and enhance NESA’s portfolio of enterprise applications and cloud-based services. In this role, you will ensure the effective day-to-day operation, support and continuous improvement of critical business platforms that support teachers, students and the broader education system across NSW. Working within a collaborative ICT team, you will manage operational support activities while contributing to upgrades, enhancements and lifecycle management initiatives. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for: Providing technical administration and support for enterprise applications and cloud-based services Managing incidents, requests and changes to maintain service continuity and minimise business disruption Supporting application upgrades, enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives Documenting business processes, functional requirements and support procedures Identifying opportunities to improve enterprise platforms, cloud solutions and end-user experiences Managing software upgrades and licensing activities Collaborating with internal stakeholders, vendors and service providers to deliver effective outcomes Contributing to secure, stable and well-governed application environments Our ideal candidate will bring: Experience supporting enterprise applications and cloud-based platforms in a complex ICT environment Strong problem-solving, organisational and customer service skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities Experience working within ITIL-aligned environments across incident, problem and change management The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with vendors and service providers An understanding of application lifecycle management, including upgrades, renewals and platform sustainability Experience managing Atlassian products, ServiceNOW, workflow systems including Zendesk and Genesys, and Microsoft application licensing is beneficial A genuine interest in working within a purpose-driven organisation supporting education outcomes across NSW If you are self-motivated, organised and driven to succeed, with a genuine interest in how enterprise applications support business outcomes, we invite you to apply. Essential requirements Tertiary qualifications in information technology and/or industry experience in a related field. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills, including recommending improvements/alternatives. Strong consulting and negotiation skills and ability to work with diverse teams and key internal and external stakeholders in the organisation.
