Overview : Vizzeto Woodfire is a restaurant combining the best of the Brazilian, Italian and Australian wood fired pizzas and pastas. We are looking for a Cook to join the team! In this role, you will be responsible to maintain consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant. This is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Moorooka, QLD. Main tasks : ·Prepare, season, and cook a wide range of dishes across different sections of the kitchen, following standard recipes and presentation guidelines. ·Assist in creating and updating menu items based on seasonal availability, customer demand, and cost efficiency, under the direction of management. ·Assemble and measure ingredients accurately, ensuring readiness for service and efficient workflow throughout the kitchen. ·Maintain consistent quality, portion control, and attractive presentation of all dishes served. ·Monitor food preparation areas and kitchen equipment to ensure strict compliance with hygiene, food safety, and health regulations. ·Receive, store, and manage ingredients and supplies, checking deliveries for quality and freshness while minimizing spoilage and waste. ·Work effectively with kitchen team members by following directions, assisting during busy service periods, and contributing to a positive and efficient kitchen environment. ·Support and mentor junior staff, demonstrating cooking techniques and maintaining high standards of performance and morale. ·Communicate with front-of-house staff and management to coordinate orders, manage dietary requests, and contribute to seamless service. Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience : -Minimum of a relevant Certificate III/IV qualification -At least 3 years' relevant industry experience Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge : -Strong cooking skills and overall culinary repertoire. -Well developed communication and interpersonal skills. -Ability to multitask and effectively manage competing priorities.
