POSITION STATEMENT To work as part of the Director team, guiding and assisting in the provision of a high quality out of school care program based on sound and current pedagogies. POSITION – Educational Leader - 32 hours per week- with the possibility of full-time or part-time with salary negotiable Above award conditions apply. Hours negotiable, days negotiable but could include a possible before shift - Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 9:30am or afternoons 1:30pm-6:30pm, with a possible opportunity to act as Responsible Person if desired, in the absence of the Director and during school holidays. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES To work as part of Director team that leads , co-ordinates, directs and supervises the Educators to support children's engagement in a program that involves risk-taking, experimentation and exploration of both indoor and outdoor environments throughout of the year. Professional training in Playwork and FOOSHC pedagogy will be provided with an expectation that you will continue to commit to maintaining your own pedagogical development. To develop and implement FOOSHC’s professional development plan. This would be based on the services training needs which is informed by the strategic plan and the team’s individual Training Need Analysis. This would include: planning and facilitating professional development sessions, sourcing internal and external training and expenditure & acquittal of the training budget. Ensure relevant risk management strategies are used in daily operations. Comply with the requirements of the National Quality Framework and the School Age Care framework – My Time Our Place 2.0 Work as part of the programming/planning team that assists educators implement and evaluate a high quality and diverse educational program with the collaboration of children. Comply with all service policy and procedures. Contribute to development and implementation of Quality Improvement Plan and the continual evolution of our philosophy. Actively participate in both internal and external Professional Development throughout the year as identified during the Annual Employee Appraisals. SELECTION CRITERIA- Qualifications and other requirements – minimum Diploma Childrens Services or studying towards an ACECQA approved qualification HLTAID012 First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate or equivalent Current ACT Working With Vulnerable People registration. 2 years or more experience leading a team in Education and Care Your personal philosophy should align with our service philosophy. Excellent interpersonal, organisational and time management skills with attention to detail Demonstrated initiative and being able to work independently and as part of a team Sound Understanding of National Quality Framework including My Time Our Place.
