Why This Role Matters The Government's primary financial management system Masterpiece, used by most SA Government agencies excluding SA Health, is over 30 years old and nearing the end of its service life. The Finance Reform Program is leading a major initiative to replace it with Oracle and implement best practice processes. This transformation will significantly change how finance functions are performed across agencies and affect a wide range of stakeholders, including finance, ICT, and operations teams. As a Test Analyst , you'll play a key role in replacing the financial system and enhancing service delivery through greater efficiency and automation. About the Opportunity You'll contribute to the delivery of high-quality testing across system, integration and user acceptance phases. Your work will help ensure the new system meets business requirements, quality standards and acceptance criteria within agreed timeframes. In this role, you will: Deliver quality testing across system, integration and user acceptance to meet business needs. Plan and run testing in a complex financial systems environment, including end‑to‑end scenarios and test data. Create and maintain test scripts , working closely with SSSA and agency stakeholders. Execute tests to plan , accurately recording results and keeping documentation current. Identify and manage defects , analysing issues and supporting timely resolution. Support testing governance , contributing to UAT coordination, defect triage and reporting. Remuneration ASO5 ($89,007 - $98,991 p.a.) 12% Superannuation About You You'll thrive in this role if you: Understand finance business processes and apply them when testing complex, future‑state systems. Bring practical IT and testing experience, with a solid grasp of methods, tools and real‑world system use. Manage defects effectively, clearly documenting issues and working with others to resolve them. Communicate clearly and professionally, building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Work independently and collaboratively, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines in a busy environment.
