We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Support Officer to join our team. This role involves providing practical and emotional support to families experiencing challenges, with a focus on improving wellbeing, strengthening relationships, and promoting positive outcomes for children and parents. Key Responsibilities Provide direct support to families in home and community settings Assist clients in developing parenting skills, daily living skills, and coping strategies Conduct needs assessments and develop tailored support plans Facilitate access to community services, healthcare, housing, and education resources Monitor client progress and maintain accurate case notes and reports Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders Ensure all services are delivered in line with relevant legislation, policies, and ethical standards Essential Requirements Relevant qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar role Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to engage with individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds Sound understanding of child protection principles and family dynamics Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain) Valid Working With Children Check Current driver’s licence Desirable Skills Experience working with vulnerable or at-risk families Knowledge of local community support services in Western Australia Ability to manage complex cases and work independently Multilingual skills (highly regarded) What We Offer Supportive and inclusive work environment Ongoing professional development opportunities Competitive salary and benefits * Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the community
