About the role: The Senior Bookkeeper will be responsible to ensure the accounting functions of Ecoliv are met by providing effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative duties. Key responsibilities: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Accounts Payable Preparation and completion of the entire Accounts Payable function, including supplier reconciliation Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices Prepare and process payments to creditors in accordance with authorisations Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate supplier and contractor records Accounts Receivable Preparation and completion of the entire Accounts Receivable function Issue timely invoices and credit notes Monitor debtor balances and follow up outstanding payments Maintain accurate customer records Banking & Reconciliations Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and receipt management Complete account reconciliations through to trial balance Investigate and resolve discrepancies Payroll & Compliance Facilitating and processing of fortnightly payroll, reconciled and finalising payments Preparation of WorkCover and long service leave submissions Preparation and submission of Payroll tax requirements Prepare all account requirements in readiness for quarterly BAS submission Ensure compliance with relevant financial and statutory obligations Financial Reporting & Month End Completion of all month-end reporting and reconciliation requirements Preparation of financial weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Preparation of monthly management reports and project reporting Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling Participate in pricing modelling and financial analysis Asset & Risk Management Coordination and maintenance of the asset register Coordination of all insurances, registrations, and lease agreements Support financial reviews and compliance requirements, including Climate Active/ Sustainability reconciliation and submission IT Coordination & Business Systems Support Act as the internal liaison between staff and external IT service providers Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes including hardware setup, system access, and permissions Coordinate user access across accounting software, cloud systems, and business platforms Assist with maintaining system security protocols and password management processes Support troubleshooting of day-to-day IT issues and escalate when required Maintain IT asset register (hardware, licenses, subscriptions) Assist and support implementation of new systems, upgrades, and process improvements, including process mapping and documentation and training materials Support staff training in business systems, where required Contribute to continuous improvement of business systems and digital processes Administration & Business Support Maintain accounting filing systems and accurate record keeping Provide general office administrative support, as required Assist with special projects and cross-functional initiatives Support leadership team with operational and business improvement activities What you’ll bring: Qualifications in Accounting 5 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting Proficient in Xero Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills Exposure to cloud-based business systems or IT coordination experience desirable Someone who takes initiative and loves problem solving Strong communication skills Professional work ethic and presentation Attention to detail for tasks with zero tolerance for errors A self-motivated individual who can work under pressure and meet deadlines An absolute commitment to customer service Why join Ecoliv?
