About the Role We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Project Lead with a strong structural and mechanical background to lead the successful delivery of bulk materials handling projects. Working as part of a broader multidisciplinary project team, you will manage a small internal engineering team while overseeing the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of stackers, reclaimers and shiploaders. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who combines strong technical capability with practical project leadership and stakeholder management skills. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate a small internal engineering team within larger project environments Oversee design, procurement, fabrication, installation and commissioning activities Provide mechanical and structural engineering expertise across bulk handling equipment Conduct structural integrity assessments, fatigue analysis and drive system evaluations Manage engineering risks, technical interfaces and project deliverables Collaborate with suppliers, clients and multidisciplinary stakeholders to achieve project outcomes Support equipment reliability, maintainability and lifecycle performance improvements About You To succeed in this role, you will bring: 5–10 years’ experience in mechanical project engineering within bulk material handling Experience with stackers, reclaimers, shiploaders or similar heavy materials handling equipment A degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Strong structural and mechanical engineering capability Experience leading engineering teams and coordinating technical project activities Knowledge of drive systems, structural design and bulk handling mechanics Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills Experience working on mining, ports or heavy industrial projects What We Offer Long-term contract opportunity with attractive hourly rates Exposure to industry-leading mining and port infrastructure projects Professional growth within a highly specialised engineering environment A collaborative and technically driven project team Osborne Park office location with involvement in major Australian projects If you’re ready to lead complex engineering projects and work with a high-performing specialist team, we’d love to hear from you.
