You’ll be employed and supported by Central Coast Group Training (CCGT) — the Coast’s leading employer of Apprentices and Trainees for close to 40 years. About the Role Based mostly on Sydney worksites (with occasional jobs on the Central Coast and in Newcastle), you’ll be learning the ropes of tile roof installation on large-scale residential projects as part of a hardworking roofing crew. Start: ASAP Term: 36-month apprenticeship Training: Certificate III in Roof Tiling (RTO: TAFE NSW – Quakers Hill) Roster: Full-time (38 hours/week) Typical hours: 7:00am–3:06pm (Monday to Friday) with possible RDOs Uniform: Provided (shirt & jacket) Travel: Regular travel to Sydney sites required (own vehicle essential) Key Responsibilities You’ll be part of a roofing crew and learn skills such as: Mixing mud and preparing materials Heavy tile lifting and loading elevators Moving tools and using a nail gun Standing up battens Working on roofs up to two storey's high General ground work and site clean-up Note: This is a physical, outdoor role with heavy lifting, working at heights and travel to Sydney required. About You Keen to start a trade and learn from experienced roofers Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor work Confident working at heights of up to two storeys Strong work ethic, listens well and follows direction Positive attitude and a solid team player What you’ll need WHS White Card P-Plates (minimum) Own vehicle (essential) Comfortable with heavy lifting, working at heights of up to two storeys and working in all weather What’s in it for you?
