You’ll work across diverse business areas, providing insight and assurance that improves systems, processes and decision-making. About the role As an Audit Officer, you’ll play a key role in delivering internal audits and reviews that add real value. Working within a shared services model, you’ll engage across complex environments, build trusted relationships and contribute to better risk management and control practices. You’ll be supported in a collaborative team environment but trusted to manage your own work and deliver outcomes in a professional and independent manner. What you’ll be doing Planning and delivering internal audits and reviews across a range of business areas Developing audit plans and engaging stakeholders throughout the audit process Identifying risks, control gaps and opportunities for improvement Preparing clear, practical audit reports with actionable recommendations Producing high-quality working papers and maintaining audit documentation Supporting the Risk Management and Audit Committee (RMAC) through secretariat activities, including drafting minutes and tracking audit actions Providing advice on internal controls, governance and risk management What you’ll bring This role suits someone with strong audit capability who can think critically, communicate clearly and build effective relationships across a diverse stakeholder group. Experience in internal audit, risk, governance or assurance functions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to assess risks and evaluate control environments in complex organisations Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills Strong organisation and time management, with the ability to meet deadlines Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team Desirable Tertiary qualifications in audit, accounting, governance or related fields Membership (or working towards) of a relevant professional body Why join us?
