Due to growth in the data centre segment we are looking for a Business Development Manager to prospect, penetrate, and convert new data centre customers, while still maintaining selective account ownership through the full project lifecycle. The successful candidate will identify and pursue new data centre opportunities (hyperscale, colocation, enterprise) and sell the full suite of Eaton Electrical products across power distribution and quality. Key Duties: Open new accounts and expand existing relationships across Eaton's full portfolio (UPS, MV/LV systems, software, commissioning, maintenance, and services). Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions and uncover growth opportunities. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, consultants, and end-users to position Eaton as a trusted partner. Prepare proposals, participate in tenders, and negotiate contracts to secure new projects and service agreements. Work closely with the Segment Lead, Key Account Manager, and relevant cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions and ensure customer satisfaction. Provide insights and recommendations to support segment strategy and align with APAC/global initiatives. Ensure adherence to Eaton policies, ethical standards, and Australian regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the electrical OR data centre industry. Experience in electrical infrastructure (LV, MV, UPS, PQ) or adjacent enterprise/project-based environments. Exposure to data centres preferred, but strong enterprise infrastructure backgrounds (e.g. hospitals, large facilities) will be considered. Prior project sales experience and engagement with end-users is essential. Strategic mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities and contribute to long-term growth strategies.
