About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Category Manager to join the Mauri Procurement team. This role will lead the development and execution of category strategies, working across a wide stakeholder group. We're looking for someone ambitious and growth-oriented who can demonstrate commercial and strategic attributes that translate across buying In this role, you will lead and support the development and execution of category strategies across nominated categories, working closely with suppliers and stakeholders across Mauri and the broader GWF procurement community. Key responsibilities include: Develop and deliver category strategies including risk assessment, contracting approach, and benefits realisation Lead and support supplier negotiations to deliver value, manage risk, and ensure robust contracting strategies Drive supplier relationship and performance management, ensuring measurable outcomes and continuous improvement Provide analysis, insights, tracking and reporting to support budgeting, forecasting and project delivery Location is flexible with a preference for Sydney or Brisbane based candidates. This is a hybrid role with two days per week in the office encouraged. Candidates will need to be within reasonable commuting distance of a Mauri site. Occasional inter-state travel is required. About You The suitable candidate will possess: Proven experience in procurement and/or category management (around 5 years is ideal) Background in food, FMCG, QSR, manufacturing, or service environments, or strong transferable experience across indirect categories Experience managing complex supplier relationships and high-value spend portfolios. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, trends and market movements. Excellent stakeholder management skills across internal and external groups. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and strong organisational capability. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
