Job tasks and responsibilities As a Frame Detailer, you will be responsible for: Design and documentation of light gauge steel frames on many different builds Producing design drawings using CAD, and FRAMECAD or ENDUROCAD detailing software Ensuring all drawings are completed in accordance with 3MT detail and drafting requirements, standards and procedures, including working together with the detailing manager to resolve any issues requiring council planner or client involvement Ensuring modifications to drawings are accurately completed to suit requirements of the client, council, engineers and surveyors Liaising with, and ensuring that drawings and documentation are transmitted to, external suppliers/consultants (including follow up), within the nominated timeframes to enable completion of each workflow stage by the due date Checking and quality control of drawings Skills and experience To be considered for the position you must demonstrate the following: Solid knowledge and experience in either FRAMECAD or ENDUROCAD framing systems; with a minimum of 2 years' experience Solid knowledge and experience in AutoCAD or similar software; with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a drafting or frame design role Strong attention to detail, and the ability to problem solve Strong time management and communication skills Ability to adapt to different systems and processes, follow instructions and show initiative Good knowledge of residential building practises with exposure, and competent use of NCC, BCA and NASH Standard documents Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team under pressure and manage timeframes to achieve deadlines Candidates with knowledge and experience in any of the following will be highly regarded: Steel frame detailing/design experience in FRAMECAD or ENDUROCAD, or any other steel frame detailing software Timber frame detailing/design experience Civil Engineering or drafting background
