BASE FABRICATIONS is a growing and busy fabrication workshop in the Vehicle Body Building industry located in Kwinana Naval Base. Focusing on the design, Base Fabrications build heavy-Duty trailers and transport equipment for the agricultural, mining, and general freight industries. Duew to company growth and upcoming projects we are currently seeking a motivated experienced Fitter, (Trailer Fit out) to join our team on a full-time basis for an immediate start. Working hours required will be Monday to Friday 38 hours a week. Saturday work is also available for the right person. The Role: The position is responsible for all works relating to the fit out and assembly of new trailers, trailer repairs and other equipment as and when required. Key Responsibilities: Final assembly / fit out of new trailers, Fitting trailer brake systems (EBS Brake Kits) Fitting of Hydraulics components - including manufacturing hydraulic lines Wiring of trailer electrics and lighting servicing and repairing of semi-trailers and other transport equipment Essential Criteria Trade Qualification and experience in fit out / assembly Current C Class Driver’s License Must have experience with hydraulics, air, and electrical braking systems Attention to detail Precision and efficiency You will have good communication skills and excellent work ethic Be punctual and reliable You will have a strong commitment to quality and safety Team player with a can-do attitude Must have own tools Highly Desirable Previous experience working in Transport Manufacturing industry Current Forklift ticket If you can say YES to all the above, then send your up to date resume detailing current employment history to basefabrications.com.au or click the apply button.
