The opportunity Working across multiple, concurrent projects, in this role you'll partner with consultants, contractors, internal teams and the community to deliver building, civil and open space outcomes that align with Council’s strategic objectives. You’ll lead the end‑to‑end delivery of complex capital works projects, from planning through to operational handover, ensuring high quality outcomes that meet community needs, regulatory requirements and Council priorities. What you’ll be doing Leading end‑to‑end delivery of complex, concurrent capital works projects Establishing and managing project scope, governance, budgets, timelines and risks Procuring and managing consultants and contractors in a public sector environment Overseeing design, construction and contract administration to agreed standards Building strong stakeholder relationships and providing clear executive reporting What you'll need to succeed Tertiary qualification in project management, engineering, construction or similar Extensive experience managing design and construction phases of capital projects Strong contract administration skills, including experience with Australian Standards contracts Proven ability to manage budgets, multiple funding sources and reporting Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem solving skills To be considered for this role applications should include A maximum 2-page cover letter which should outline your interest in the role A current CV which includes key achievements & relevant qualifications Uncover more about this role in the Position Description attached below, or contact Joanna Bromfield, Team Leader Building and Sports Reserve - Capital Projects via careers@hobsonsbay.vic.gov.au Applications will be accepted until 11:30pm on 26 May 2026 .
