The role: We are looking for a responsible Accountant to join our team on full-time basis. A successful Accountant will oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. He will manage financial records, prepare statements, and provide strategic insights. Accountants handle budgeting, forecasting, tax compliance, and internal controls, supporting the company's financial stability and growth within the global jewellery retail sector. Position: Accountant Location: Harris Park, NSW Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 Role: Full Time Duties & Responsibilities as an Accountant include: ·Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. ·Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. ·Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. ·Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting to optimize resource allocation. ·Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, preparing and filing tax returns accurately and timely. ·Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and coordinate with auditors during audits. ·Contribute to strategic planning by assessing financial risks and opportunities. ·Prepare reports for management to monitor financial performance and make informed decisions. ·Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices in financial management. ·Conduct cost analysis to optimize expenses and improve cost-efficiency across operations. ·Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure sufficient funds for daily operations and strategic investments. ·Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity. ·Collaborate with management to develop financial strategies aligned with business goals and market conditions. ·Utilize accounting software and technology solutions to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting accuracy. Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications: ·Proven work experience of at least 5-8 years as an Accountant, or in a similar role. ·Bachelor’s in commerce, Business or related field. ·Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems for efficient data processing and reporting. ·Clear and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, including management and external auditors. ·Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting. ·Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. ·Collaboration with cross-functional teams and departments to achieve financial goals and objectives.
