Description Kent are looking for an E&I Technician to join our high performing team on Shell's QGC business in the Surat Basin! This is an ideal role for residents of the local area or who reside in Brisbane. The work roster is 15 days on 13 days off, 10 hours per day. Responsibilities: Assist in assembling, evaluating, testing, and maintaining electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus Assist in troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus Support constructing and fabricating parts, using hand tools and specifications Interpreting electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics Ordering of electrical supplies and equipment Assisting in the execution of plans of electrical wiring for well functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems Installing electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems Installing safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.) Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components Assist in preparing and assembling conduits and connect wiring through them Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units About You: The ideal candidate has a solid electrical background, backed by a relevant qualification and completion of an apprenticeship, with hands-on experience working as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings. They’re confident reading electrical drawings and system plans, spotting issues, calibrating equipment, and suggesting practical improvements. Comfortable in using hand and power tools, as well as fault-finding and testing equipment, they work safely and understand the importance of following regulations and procedures.
