Your New Role and Responsibilities The GEO SPACES Security Operations roles areidentifiedin the Information System Security Management Plan under the GEO SPACES contract. Thisrole will report directly to the GEO SPACES Security Operations Team Lead and be capable ofoperatingindependently within the scope of their duties.? There is an element of flexibility in these roles based on available skills and experience.?Security Engineerswill work closely with the Cyber Security Analysts as well as independentlyto deliver the following functions: Do Work That Matters SIEM platform management, including system/log on-boarding, health checks, patching,maintenanceand service availability incident resolution Detection Engineering, including ownership of the full Detection lifecycle System security advice and collaboration with network and operations teams, includingITsecurity engineering of; endpoint, network,gatewayand other Change Items Cyber Threat Intelligenceplatform and feed integration and maintenance Vulnerability Management platform and tools,integrationand maintenance Quality Assurance and Control of SOC investigations and response Supportcomplex and emergency Incident Response activities using a range of cloud and other response tools,techniquesand procedures. ConductResearch,Developmentand Testing ofnovel and emerging technologies,threatsand opportunities in the cyber security domain SupportHunt activities using industry frameworks Provide trusted advisory services Develop security operations related system requirements Change review and approvals Develop andmaintainstakeholder relationships, including with partner SOCs and security authorities in and out of Defence ?
