About the company/role: Our client is a leading baking ingredient manufacturer supplying businesses across Australia and New Zealand. They are seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join their team on a short-term basis for 8-weeks. Ideally, they would like this person to start as soon as possible. The working hours are Monday-Friday, 06:30am-3pm with overtime options available. Duties: Conduct scheduled and preventive maintenance plant machinery Follow maintenance schedules in line with production plans Respond quickly to machine breakdowns Fault find mechanical issues Repair or replace faulty components Follow HACCP, GMP and food safety procedures Record maintenance activities for documentation purposes Complete work orders and checklists Work safely and report any safety risks Skills/experience: Trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter/ Fitter & Turner) is essential Experience in food manufacturing environment is highly desirable Working at heights and confided spaces is advantageous Strong fault finding and mechanical aptitude Awareness of food safety systems (HACCP, GMP) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Apply!
