About the company/role: Food testing laboratory Seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist to join the team Based close to Melbourne CBD 12-month casual contract Full-time hours, Monday-Friday Duties/responsibilities: Operate and maintain LCMS/MS and GCMS/MS instrumentation start-up, sequence preparation, data acquisition and limited method processing Process and review analytical data, assess QA/QC results against acceptance criteria Review, validate and report analytical results through the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) Perform routine calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment Assist with validation of new methods and analytes to support laboratory capability development Manage own workload in accordance with rosters and work plans Skills/responsibilities: Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, or similar discipline Experience operating and maintaining LCMS/MS and/or GCMS/MS instrumentation Proven experience as a Chemist ideally within a NATA-accredited laboratory Must have prior experience in the microbial analysis of food and water related samples Excellent oral and written communication skills High attention to detail Apply!
