Pastry Cook (Full-Time) – Supersede Coffee Melbourne VIC 3000 Salary: $77,000 per annum superannuation Supersede Coffee is seeking a skilled and motivated Pastry Cook to join our team in Melbourne. We are a high-quality café focused on specialty coffee and premium in-house pastry production, including viennoiserie and seasonal desserts. About the Role: This is a full-time position for a Pastry Cook with experience in high-volume pastry production and laminated doughs. The role requires strong technical skills, consistency, and the ability to contribute to menu development. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and bake a range of pastries, including viennoiserie (croissants, danishes, laminated dough products) Produce cakes, desserts, and café-style baked goods to a high standard Ensure consistency in texture, flavour, and presentation during high-volume service Assist with seasonal menu development and product innovation Manage daily prep, production schedules, and stock rotation Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation standards Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams Requirements: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role Demonstrated experience in: Laminated dough production and viennoiserie Working in a fast-paced commercial kitchen or bakery environment Maintaining consistency across high-volume production Ability to follow and adapt recipes based on production needs (e.g. temperature, fermentation, timing) Strong organisational and time management skills One of the following (or equivalent) qualifications: Certificate IV in Patisserie; or Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery; or Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management
