VMware Consultant Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement standard VMware solutions • Lead small projects or workstreams • Manage VMware infrastructure including compute, storage, and networking • Handle cluster configurations and performance tuning • Support hybrid/cloud-based VMware environments • Create and maintain technical documentation Required Skills: • Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere • Solid understanding of HA, DRS, lifecycle management • Experience with distributed switches and NIC teaming • Storage knowledge including SAN/NAS and VMware vSAN • Exposure to VMware NSX (basic to intermediate) • Backup/DR solutions and cloud platforms (VMware Cloud, Azure VMware Solution, etc.) Troubleshooting Skills: • Diagnose CPU, memory, and storage performance issues • Resolve cluster, host, and network configuration issues • Log analysis and root cause identification Certifications: • VCP (mandatory), working towards VCAP preferred Additional Notes: • Expected to deliver independently • Strong ownership of assigned tasks/projects
