About your new role As the Foster and Kinship Care Coordinator, you will lead a passionate team delivering high-quality foster and kinship care services across Central Queensland. You will oversee carer recruitment, assessment, support, and program delivery, ensuring services meet licensing and care standards. The role also involves managing operational requirements including staffing, budgets, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, while fostering a trauma-informed and supportive environment for children, young people, carers, and families. About you You are a compassionate and capable leader with experience in child protection or out-of-home care services. With strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills, you are confident managing teams, programs, and stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment. You will hold qualifications in Social Work, Human Services, Behavioural Science, Psychology, or a related field, along with demonstrated experience leading teams and delivering quality outcomes for children and families. Mandatory Requirements A completed bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Behavioural Science, Psychology, or a related field. Minimum 3 years’ experience leading a team in a similar role. Demonstrated leadership experience in child protection or out-of-home care services as well as strong financial and program management skills. Additional requirements: Current Blue Card (Working with Children) and Yellow Card (Disability Services). Current Queensland Open Driver’s Licence. Proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
