About LCHS Latrobe Community Health Service is a large, independent, not-for-profit community health provider delivering integrated health and social services across Victoria and nationally. The Opportunity LCHS is operating at increasing scale and complexity, and delivering consistent, high-quality oral health services across multiple sites requires more than strong clinical leadership, it requires systems and operations that work. This newly created role has been designed to provide a dedicated operational counterpart to the Clinical Director, Oral Health. Together, you will form a true co-leadership partnership with the capability and authority to build the systems that enable high-quality clinical work to happen consistently, efficiently and at scale. You will be defining how the function works. Your decisions will directly shape how services run day-to-day, influencing both efficiency and patient experience. Reporting to the Executive Director Medical Services and Oral Health, this is a rare chance to build something that endures for the organisation, and for the communities it serves. Your responsibilities The remit is broad. Key focus areas include: Service operations and performance : leading day-to-day clinic operations across multiple sites, including rostering, workforce allocation, appointment systems, waitlist management, throughput and utilisation Systems and continuous improvement : standardising rostering, client services and administrative workflows to reduce variation and lift operational efficiency Leadership and workforce capability : leading and developing high-performing client services and administration teams, building cohesion, accountability and succession Partnership and integrated delivery : working side by side with the Clinical Director and external stakeholders to support integrated care and strong referral networks Operational planning and accountability : translating oral health strategy into practical regional plans, performance measures and consistent execution across sites Financials and risk : managing budgets, assets and operational reporting, and monitoring operational risks affecting quality, access, safety and financial performance What you'll bring This role will suit a leader who thinks in systems and who is motivated by creating something that endures. Specifically, you will bring: Tertiary qualifications in health, hospital administration, public health, business management or a closely related field.
