Introduction About our Operation Kimberley Mineral Sands Pty Ltd (KMS) is a 50/50 joint venture between Sheffield Resources Limited and YGH Australia Investment Pty Ltd (Yansteel). The Thunderbird Mineral Sands Operation (Thunderbird) is located mid-way between Derby and Broome, in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. Thunderbird is one of the largest and highest-grade zircon mineral sands deposits in the world and contains valuable heavy minerals including ilmenite, zircon and leucoxene, which are extracted and exported via the Port of Broome. About the Role Reporting to the Supervisor Maintenance, this is an exciting opportunity for a Fixed Plant Senior Maintainer to join our growing mining company on a 24-month Maximum Term contract This role will be responsible for executing planned and corrective maintenance on the LV and HV electrical infrastructure and ELV control systems instrumentation. This role is required to safely execute all tasks, with the aim of reducing down time and ensuring best practice procedures are used to maintain a high standard of output. The role also involves mentoring team members, scoping and planning maintenance tasks and liaising with stakeholders to ensure efficient coordination and continuous improvement across site operations. Location & Roster Options We have a strong preference for the preferred candidate to reside in the West Kimberley region, with relocation and living allowances provided. However, for the right candidate, FIFO from Perth will be considered. West Kimberley Resident Roster: 8 days on, 6 off (Bus in, Bus out from Broome) Perth Resident Roster: 8 days on 6 off from Perth (Fly in, Fly out) Key Responsibilities Safely perform electrical maintenance tasks to a high-quality standard Meet all requirements under work orders and attachments when completing work tasks, ensuring documentation remains relevant to the situation and environment, updating as required Proactively ensure preventative maintenance on the 11kV Network consisting of 11kV Switchgear, Lucy Aegis Plus RMU’s, 11kV/720V Transformers, 11kV/433V Transformers, 415V Electrical Feeders, ABB Variable speed drives, LV Electrical Distribution systems and LV and ELV Control systems occurs where possible to mitigate major maintenance.
