The Company: Our client is a maintenance and manufacturing support provider of Aerospace Systems and components for Australian and other International Defence Forces. Their Wingfield facility is a metal treatment and finishing plant, which maintains and operates comprehensive electroplating, prime & paint and NDT capabilities; in a modern, automated component finishing facility. Position Overview: In this role you will assume responsibility for all client communication in relation to production planning, timelines and customer deliveries in consultation with the operations team. This will include facilitating the effective daily, weekly and monthly schedules from requirements driven by demand forecast and sales orders, setting priorities for the master business line schedule, analysing capacity and work order scheduling and working with the process teams to ensure delivery of the plan in accordance with customer requirements. This position reports to the Operations Manager. Key Areas of Responsibility Serve as a key point of contact for external clients, including Defence stakeholders and industry partners Respond to client enquiries and service requests in a timely, professional, and security-conscious manner Coordinate client communications in line with contract terms, service level agreements (SLAs), and Defence protocols Maintain professional, trusted relationships with Defence stakeholders through proactive engagement and consistent service delivery Occasional flexibility in working hours may be required to meet Defence operational needs Provide the business line plan/schedule that will achieve production objectives and deliver customer expectations on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Investigate operational problems in conjunction with operational Team Leaders, including analysing root causes to determine appropriate solutions. Escalate complex issues/problems to the site leadership team for resolution Identify possible operational issues that may delay the schedule and update plans accordingly. Plan resources required to execute job orders on-time. Utilise capacity planning to forecast and identify possible capacity and resource constraints for next 3-6, 6-12 months etc. Implement cycle time analysis reporting in order to improve overall production output, lower costs, increase quality, reduce downtime, and refine process improvements initiatives. Order, receive and supervise required material to assist maintenance activities. Coordinate plant shutdowns to ensure zero operational impact. Actively support all HS&E procedures and policies. Maintain and develop a knowledge base of maintenance management systems and planning tools with daily use of CMMS systems.
