Our client specialises in commercial fuel pumping systems, bunded fuel tanks, and tanker trailer equipment . This role will focus on the final assembly, installation, and commissioning of commercial fuel tanks and associated systems , built to meet strict Australian Standards and compliance requirements . This opportunity suits fitters who enjoy hands-on assembly work, reading engineering drawings, and delivering high-quality finished equipment in a modern workshop environment. Key Responsibilities Install pneumatic air lines and mechanical components on commercial fuel tank systems Perform final assembly and commissioning of fuel tanks and associated equipment Interpret and work from workshop and engineering drawings Conduct mechanical fitting, alignment, and installation tasks to specification Assist with basic welding and fabrication work where required Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, safety procedures, and quality requirements Work effectively independently or as part of a team to meet production deadlines Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have: Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Engineering (Mechanical Trade) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Own set of hand tools (specialised tools provided) Current Australian work rights Current residence in Melbourne, VIC Two professional references from previous employers Pay & Benefits $55.00 per hour Superannuation $27.00 per day travel allowance Weekly pay 26-week contract with strong potential for permanent placement Why Join This Company?
