Flowcrete are a leading concrete pump manufacturer, and repairer in the Australian market. We manufacture a range of concrete pumping equipment including truck mounted boom and line pumps. About the role We are looking for an enthusiastic person to work on and repair concrete pumps at our factory located in Sunshine West. This is a full-time position available for an energetic person who wants to build a career in a lucrative market. The primary role of this position involves general servicing, repairs, and maintenance on concrete pumps but can also involve general workshop duties. Specific concrete pump repair training can be arranged for an experienced person in a similar role. Duties include but are not limited to: Repair / Replace worn and defective wear parts Disassemble / Reassemble mechanical and hydraulic components Interpret technical drawings and specifications to plan Perform scheduled maintenance services on concrete pumps Assemble, fit and install fabricated metal parts to produce and repair machinery and equipment Diagnose / Repair hydraulic and electric faults typically found on concrete pumps General workshop duties Conduct quality assurance checks on all parts and assemblies using precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy and proper fit The successful candidate will have: Experience with rotating equipment (e.g. pumps, motors, gearboxes) Basic machining or fabrication skills (lathe, milling or welding) Experience in a workshop or industrial environment Proven experience as a Fitter (General) or similar mechanical role Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills Experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment Exposure to hydraulic and pneumatic systems Competency in using hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments Ability to carry out accurate fitting, assembly and alignment of machinery Good understanding of WHS practices A Certificate III or IV relevant qualification, or in lieu of formal trade qualifications, at least 3 years of relevant work experience At least 2–3 years of relevant work experience Benefits of Working with Flowcrete: Competitive pay rates (based on experience and qualifications) Bonuses and or commissions Be part of a working environment that is flexible to your needs.
