We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established national organisation seeking a Safety and Compliance Coordinator to support the integrity of their compliance systems, safety frameworks and operational governance. They provide services to multiple civil construction businesses nationally. This is a hands-on coordination role suited to someone who understands safety and compliance systems inside operational environments and enjoys keeping things structured, accurate and moving. You’ll be the go-to person ensuring audits, registers, reporting, documentation and systems are up to date and actually working in practice, not just sitting on paper. About the role You’ll sit within the Operations & Compliance function, working closely with operational leaders and support teams to maintain and improve compliance across the business. This is a critical execution and coordination position that keeps the business compliant, audit-ready and well-organised. Key responsibilities Maintain and administer Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) Coordinate internal/external audits, actions and close-out tracking Manage compliance, risk and governance registers Support incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions Administer systems like SharePoint, Fleetio and Dashpivot/SiteMate Monitor fleet compliance, inspections, servicing and defect close-outs Maintain training records, competency matrices and licence registers Support reporting, dashboards and monthly compliance KPI reporting Assist with contractor onboarding, prequalification and documentation Support operational teams with SWMS, JHAs and risk documentation About you You’re someone who has: WHS qualifications min. Cert IV WHS Construction White Card. Driver's licence. Strong knowledge of WHS legislation requirements, preferably Australia-wide Solid experience in compliance coordination, HSE systems and operations support Is confident working with structured systems, registers and reporting tools Understands audit processes and corrective action management Is highly organised and detail-driven without needing constant direction Communicates well with operational teams and stakeholders at all levels Prefers practical compliance over theory and paperwork for paperwork’s sake Why this role works This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys keeping the engine running behind the scenes, ensuring safety systems are tight, risks are tracked and operations stay compliant without drama.
