About the opportunity As part of our Displays team, your focus will be to undertake the full array of the drafting process. From conceptual drawings to construction plans, you will play a crucial role in the display home process. More specifically, your responsibilities will include: • Producing high quality conceptual, fabrication and installation drawings using ArchiCAD, following internal standards, procedures and drafting best practices • Applying advanced drafting principles to solve more complex design challenges and develop practical, solutions focused outcomes • Ensuring all drawings comply with relevant building codes, regulations, company procedures and industry standards • Reviewing drawings prior to release, confirming materials are correctly captured and securing approvals from relevant stakeholders before progressing • Collaborating with internal teams to achieve cohesive project outcomes, resolve design issues and maintain strong working relationships across the business • Maintaining accurate drawing archives, managing revisions and documenting site meetings, amendments and feedback • Integrating documentation and technical details across key departments including marketing, detailing, product development, MyChoice, and production teams About you To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of MJH and the NEX Group along with: • Experience working in a residential home construction environment • Minimum of 1 year producing drawings • Understanding of the NCC and related construction practices • Knowledge of current housing codes and regulations • Ideally with proficiency in a 3D drawing program - ArchiCAD preferred • A keen eye for detail and attention to accuracy with demonstrated interpersonal skills • Organisational ability and initiative We are keen to improve female (and other marginalised groups) representation in our workplaces.
