The role The SAP Senior FICO Consultant provides senior-level functional expertise to support business initiatives, change programs, and solution development activities within the organisation’s SAP ECC 6.0 environment. The role partners closely with finance and business stakeholders to translate strategic and operational requirements into well-designed, scalable SAP FICO solutions that enable business outcomes, improve financial processes, and support regulatory and reporting needs. We are looking for an experienced SAP Senior FICO Consultant for a 12 month fixed term contract to support key business initiatives through the design and delivery of effective SAP ECC 6.0 Finance and Controlling solutions. This role partners closely with finance and business leaders to translate strategic requirements into practical, scalable SAP solutions. Key Responsibilities Partner with business and finance stakeholders to support business initiatives, reforms, and process improvements Translate business requirements into end‑to‑end SAP FICO solution designs Lead configuration and enhancement of SAP FI and CO modules (GL, AP, AR, AA, CCA, PCA, CO‑PA, Product Costing) Contribute to solution development for new business processes, reporting needs, and regulatory changes Deliver fit‑gap analysis, workshops, and functional solution designs Ensure effective integration with SAP modules such as MM Support testing, UAT, cutover, and go‑live activities Provide expert support for period‑end close and financial reporting Act as a trusted advisor, providing SAP best‑practice guidance aligned to business outcomes What’s in your toolkit? Strong hands‑on experience as an SAP FICO Consultant in ECC 6.0 Proven ability to support and deliver business‑driven SAP solutions Deep functional knowledge across FI and CO Experience contributing to SAP implementations, major business changes, or solution enhancements Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Ability to clearly translate business needs into SAP functionality Australian accounting, tax (GST), or statutory reporting experience is desirable SAP FICO certification - highly regarded 12 month fixed term contract based in Cremorne, VIC.
