Description We have an exciting long-term opportunity for a Remuneration & Benefits Manager to join Downer’s Chief People Office on a 2-year maximum term contract. This role plays a key part in delivering and evolving Downer’s remuneration and benefits framework across the business. You will lead critical remuneration cycles, including the annual remuneration review and incentive programs, provide input to executive remuneration deliverables, while also supporting the design and management of employee benefits. Reporting to the General Manager Remuneration, this role will have strong exposure to senior leaders, Finance, Payroll, and People & Culture teams across the business. You will support in developing remuneration and benefits practices that are consistent, competitive, and aligned with Downer’s governance standards and business objectives . Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end delivery of the annual remuneration review , including planning, system configuration, communications, and reporting Manage Short-Term and Long-Term Incentive programs, including participant management, calculations, and payment processes Support executive remuneration activities, including contributions to remuneration reporting and governance requirements Oversee and support the administration and continuous improvement of employee benefits programs Partner with stakeholders across People & Culture, Finance, Payroll, and business units to deliver accurate and timely remuneration outcomes Provide remuneration and benefits insights through data analysis, benchmarking, and market trends to inform decision-making Maintain relationships with external remuneration advisors, benefits providers, and survey vendors Support the development and continuous improvement of remuneration and benefits frameworks, policies, and processes Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory, and reporting obligations What You Will Bring Proven experience in a remuneration and/or benefits-focused role, ideally within a complex ASX-listed environment Strong understanding of remuneration frameworks, incentive design, and employee benefits programs Experience managing large-scale remuneration cycles such as annual reviews and incentive programs Advanced analytical skills, including strong Excel capability and ability to interpret complex data Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders across business and corporate functions Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and process excellence Excellent written and communication skills, including experience contributing to executive or board-level reporting Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline Benefits Of Working with Downer Work with an ASX listed company, working with market leaders.
