The Coach is responsible for delivering structured, high-performance training programs tailored to members' individual fitness goals and performance metrics. The role involves coaching both individual and small-group sessions, guiding members through strength, conditioning, and HYROX-style functional fitness programming designed to improve endurance, power, and overall athletic performance. The successful candidate work closely with other health and sports professionals within the business to support a holistic approach to member health, including training, recovery, nutrition and performance monitoring. Current Opening: This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week). Position Responsibilities and Tasks Deliver structured coaching programs for individuals and small groups participating in functional fitness, boxing, and high-performance conditioning disciplines, incorporating elements aligned with competitive formats such as HYROX-style training. Implement and adapt periodised training programs aimed at improving strength, endurance, and overall athletic performance, tailored to each participant's goals and capability. Provide technical instruction and coaching in movement patterns, strength training, boxing techniques, and conditioning protocols, ensuring correct form, injury prevention, and safe training practices. Conduct physical performance assessments, including strength, endurance, and functional capacity testing, and evaluate participant progress against established performance benchmarks. Monitor and adjust training programs based on data-driven performance outcomes, ensuring continuous progression and measurable improvements. Prepare and guide participants for fitness events, challenges, or performance-based outcomes, including structured conditioning targets and milestone tracking. Motivate and mentor participants to achieve consistent improvements in athletic performance, discipline, and training adherence. Collaborate with multidisciplinary health professionals (e.g. nutrition, recovery, and performance specialists) to support holistic performance development. Maintain accurate records of training sessions, performance metrics, and progression outcomes, ensuring alignment with structured coaching plans. Contribute to the development of innovative coaching methodologies integrating strength, endurance, and functional training within a structured performance framework. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification at least equivalent to Certificate III and IV in Fitness, or higher in sport, coaching, or exercise science. Minimum one year of experience delivering structured coaching programs in functional fitness, boxing, or strength and conditioning environments. Strong knowledge of performance-based training methodologies, including endurance and hybrid fitness formats (e.g. HYROX-style training). Ability to design and deliver periodised, outcome-focused training programs tailored to varying performance levels. Demonstrated capability in technical instruction and movement coaching, ensuring safe and effective progression. Experience working with high-performing participants in a structured, results-driven coaching environment.
