Expressions of Interest Volunteer for the Gascoyne River Bush Fire Brigade - Protecting Lives and Landscapes, from River to Reef. The Shire of Carnarvon is seeking expressions of interest from community members who would like to volunteer with the Gascoyne River Bush Fire Brigade . Bush Fire Brigade volunteers play a vital role in protecting lives, property, and the natural environment across the Shire. The Brigade responds to bushfires and supports fire prevention and preparedness activities, particularly in rural and remote areas. Our values and conduct Volunteering with the Gascoyne River Bush Fire Brigade is about showing Courage in protecting lives, property and the environment, and acting with Authenticity and Respect in service to the community. Our volunteers strive for Excellence through training and preparedness, work with Cohesion as a trusted team, and lead with Humility , recognising that safety depends on supporting one another. Who can volunteer? We welcome expressions of interest from people who: Are 18 years of age or older Are willing to work as part of a team Have a strong commitment to community safety Are able to attend training and respond to incidents when available No previous firefighting experience is required. All necessary training, equipment, and protective clothing will be provided. What does volunteering involve?
