This is an excellent opportunity to support a leading disputes practice known for handling complex and high-profile matters. Working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in supporting senior lawyers while ensuring the smooth running of matters from commencement through to resolution. This role would suit a proactive Legal Assistant who thrives on responsibility, enjoys working closely with lawyers and clients, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. Who will they be supporting? You will provide dedicated support to a Partner and a team of lawyers within a litigation practice, assisting on a broad range of complex matters. Your day to day responsibilities will be: Drafting, formatting and proofreading correspondence, court documents and briefs Preparing and collating briefs to Counsel Managing diaries, meetings and travel arrangements Matter management including file opening, document management and e-filing Billing, time entry and reporting Liaising with clients, barristers and internal stakeholders Preparing presentations and assisting with business development activities Compiling large documents and maintaining document management systems Do you have the following skillset? 5 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant within a litigation practice Strong organisational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with legal practice management or document management systems Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities Professional approach when liaising with clients and stakeholders If interested apply now or contact Erica Brown on ebrown@mjdrecruitment.com.au or call 0400 111 741 for a confidential chat.
