Role Overview We’re looking for a hands-on Performance & Growth Marketing Specialist to drive acquisition, optimise funnels, and generate high-intent loan applications in a regulated financial services environment. This role focuses on micro-lending and short-term consumer loans, where marketing performance is measured not just by application volume but by approved and funded loans. You will be responsible for managing campaigns daily and improving results across the entire customer journey: Click → Application → Approval → Funded Loan Success in this role requires balancing growth, lead quality, and regulatory compliance, ensuring campaigns attract customers who meet lending criteria. Key Responsibilities Campaign & Funnel Management Build, launch, and optimise acquisition campaigns across Google Ads (Search and Performance Max) and Meta Ads. Manage the full acquisition funnel from click through to funded loan. Optimise landing pages and loan application funnels to increase application completion and approval rates. Manage lifecycle marketing flows (SMS/email automation using Klaviyo or similar platforms). Continuously test creatives, messaging, audiences, and funnel flows to improve performance and scale results Growth & Strategy Identify opportunities to acquire higher-quality applicants, not just increase application volume. Analyse campaign and funnel data to improve targeting, segmentation, and spend allocation. Collaborate with credit, product, compliance, and design teams to ensure marketing aligns with lending criteria and business goals. Support initiatives to improve customer retention, repeat borrowing, and lifetime value. Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure all campaigns are ASIC compliant and aligned with NCCP obligations and responsible lending requirements. Monitor lead quality, approval rates, and applicant credit profiles. Reduce decline rates by refining targeting, messaging, and funnel design. Ensure marketing communications avoid misleading claims or non-compliant financial promotions. Performance & Reporting Track and report on key performance metrics including: Cost per application Cost per funded loan Application → approval conversion rates Lead quality and approval rates Conduct competitor analysis within the micro-lending and consumer finance sector. Recommend campaign, funnel, and messaging optimisations based on performance data. What We’re Looking For 3 years experience in performance or growth marketing, ideally in fintech, lending, or financial services. Experience working with micro-lenders, short-term loan providers, or consumer credit products is highly desirable. Hands-on experience managing Google Ads and Meta Ads campaigns. Proven experience optimising full-funnel lead generation and conversion performance. Experience optimising campaigns based on approval rates and funded loan metrics, not just cost per lead. Familiarity with SMS/email lifecycle marketing and CRO best practices. Understanding of ASIC marketing guidance, NCCP obligations, and responsible lending principles. Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with iterative testing and accountability for performance. Success Metrics Success in this role will be measured by: Lower cost per funded loan while maintaining strong credit quality. Higher application → funded loan conversion rates.
