Experienced Clinical Psychologist (Independent Contractor ) Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, QLD Vista Advanced Psychological Therapy is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our established private practice in Surfers Paradise under an independent contractor / facilities and services arrangement. This role is suited to a senior clinician seeking clinical autonomy, flexible working arrangements, and the ability to practise within a well-supported private practice environment. About the Opportunity You will provide psychological assessment and therapy services from our Surfers Paradise premises, with the option to deliver both in-person and telehealth services where clinically appropriate. The practice supports a mix of referral streams, including: Medicare Better Access Private clients DVA, where applicable NDIS, where applicable The role is non-exclusive, allowing flexibility in how you structure your practice, subject to coordination, room availability, and practice requirements. What the Practice Provides Furnished consulting rooms in a central Surfers Paradise location Reception and administrative support Appointment scheduling and room allocation Invoicing and payment processing on your behalf Practice management software and clinical records systems EFTPOS and Scheme online claiming access Marketing and referral intake Designated onsite parking within the practice building Fee Structure The arrangement operates on a practitioner-level basis: Senior / Experienced Clinical Psychologist: 65% to clinician / 35% to practice Other Psychologists: 60% to clinician / 40% to practice For the purposes of this role, a Senior / Experienced Clinical Psychologist is a clinician with at least 3 years’ relevant experience as a Clinical Psychologist, ideally including private practice or comparable independent clinical work. Any final fee arrangement will be confirmed in the written agreement. Illustrative example only: A senior clinician invoicing $5,000 in a week would retain approximately $3,250 before personal expenses. A clinician on a 60/40 arrangement invoicing $5,000 in a week would retain approximately $3,000 before personal expenses. Figures are indicative only and do not guarantee income, caseload, or revenue Clinical Autonomy The clinician retains full independence in relation to clinical work, including: Accepting or declining referrals Treatment modality and case formulation Clinical decision-making Discharge decisions About You You will have: General registration with AHPRA Clinical Psychology endorsement Eligibility for, or holding, a Medicare Provider Number Strong independent practice capability and clinical judgement Experience in private practice or similar settings Experience working with trauma, complex presentations, DVA, or NDIS participants will be well regarded.
