Care Services Worker – The Verge Retirement Village, Burleigh Make a Difference in the Lives of Our Elderly Residents We are in search of an accomplished and motivated Care Services Worker to join our team at our Care Hub within The Verge Retirement Village. We are seeking a motivated person to make a positive impact and become part of our close-knit team, as well as embrace the chance to be a source of support and comfort for our residents. Our magnificent community overlooks the picturesque Burleigh Golf Course. Located within the third stage of The Verge Retirement Village, the Care Hub provides a genuine alternative to aged care, offering compassionate and person-centred care in a boutique and intimate environment. Catering to a maximum of 10 people at a time, the Care Hub offers 24/7 care, but it is not a traditional nursing home, or a hospital. True casual position - good availability to pick up shifts when required desirable - cover for planned and unplanned leave Reporting to the Manager Care (Residential), you will be responsible for: Assisting residents in the Care Hub with all activities of daily living as required as well as: Assist residents living in independent units with daily living activities, including mobility, continence management, showering, dressing, personal grooming, and medication prompting Assist with meal preparation as needed Provide domestic and laundry services to care recipients Transport care recipients to appointments (e.g., medical) Offer social support and shopping assistance We’re on the lookout for someone with: Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support (or equivalent) Full Drivers Licence, Comprehensive Insurance and Reliable Transport National Police Check (or ability to obtain) First Aid & CPR Certificate (or ability to obtain) Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing Our benefits The wellbeing of all RetireAustralia team members is our priority and we regularly run initiatives such as safety training, wellness challenges, mental health awareness programs and a free annual flu vaccination program.
