THE ROLE We’re doing big things at NOVA. As the broadcast and digital worlds come together, our data ecosystem is maturing rapidly. With a robust customer data platform (CDP), a customer engagement platform (CEP), and a central data warehouse now in place, we need a sharp and detail-oriented Data Analyst to help us unlock the value of this stack. You will be the crucial bridge between our rich listener data and the broader business strategy, ensuring our insights are accurate, actionable, and accessible. Moving beyond standard reporting, you will translate complex digital audio behaviours into actionable insights that drive audience growth and commercial value. Day to day, you’ll partner closely with Audience Intelligence, Finance, and wider Digital team, and regularly engage with key business stakeholders across Content, Commercial, and Marketing. Your role sits within the Product and Platforms team, directly shaping how NOVA understands and engages its audience to deliver business outcomes. WHAT YOU’LL DO Design, build, and maintain interactive BI dashboards and reports that track listener behaviour and commercial performance across our CDP, CEP, and Data Warehouse. Translate complex data into compelling stories, wrapping raw metrics into clear, concise narratives that empower decision-makers. Analyse digital audio data and identify actionable trends and insights that drive audience growth, product personalisation, and advertiser value. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Content, Commercial, and Marketing to deeply understand their goals and deliver value-add data insights. Work alongside Audience Intelligence, Finance, and the wider Digital team to maintain data quality and consistency, troubleshoot anomalies, streamline data automation, and champion data literacy and compliance across the business. Keep up to date with the latest data analytics trends, BI tools, and digital audio measurement standards. SKILLS YOU’LL HAVE we’re looking for someone with strong fundamentals and a desire to learn: Strong proficiency in SQL with proven, hands-on experience querying large datasets within a modern data warehouse environment. Advanced skills in data visualisation and BI tools to design, build, and maintain interactive, self-serve dashboards. Excellent data storytelling and communication skills, with a proven track record of translating complex technical metrics into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders. Strong commercial acumen and understanding of how data drives audience growth, customer retention, and digital revenue. Familiarity with the digital media and advertising ecosystem, including concepts like audience segmentation, campaign measurement, and programmatic platforms. Experience working alongside data engineers to troubleshoot reporting anomalies, define data models, and ensure high data quality. A solid understanding of customer data platforms (CDP) or customer engagement platforms (CEP) and how they are used to activate audience data.
