The Night Shift Maintenance Fitter is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on the machinery and equipment in the plant. The maintenance fitter ensures that all lines in the plant runs smoothly and safely. Key Accountabilities: Technical Inspect, diagnose, repair and replace mechanical components of various machines and equipment Perform routine and scheduled maintenance tasks, such as lubricating, cleaning, adjusting and calibrating the machines and equipment. Respond to breakdowns and emergencies, and troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner. Conduct root cause analysis on failures and ensuring follow up on identified actions. Follow the standard operating procedures, safety regulations, and food hygiene protocols while performing the maintenance activities. Document and report the maintenance work done, the spare parts used, and the problems encountered. Keep the maintenance tools, equipment, and workshop clean and organized. Update and maintain the maintenance records and inventory of spare parts. Collaboration Develop & maintain a close and collaborative working relationships across the Maintenance and Production teams. Work closely with the production team, the quality team, and the external contractors to ensure the optimal performance and availability of the machines and equipment. Continuous Improvement Suggest and implement improvements and modifications to the machines and equipment to enhance their efficiency, reliability, and safety. Skills and attributes: Sound knowledge of the mechanical principles and operations of various machines and equipment used in food manufacturing. Proficient in using various hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments High regard for safety, food hygiene, and environmental standards. Able to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and instructions. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Experience: Demonstrated experience as an industrial Fitter, preferably in food manufacturing. Qualifications: Mechanical/Trade Certificate Why Join Us?
