Position Summary We are seeking a full-time Gardener to undertake the maintenance and improvement of landscaped areas in accordance with professional horticultural standards. The role involves a combination of routine maintenance and more specialized gardening tasks across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities: · Maintaining gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas · Mowing, edging, and general turf management · Pruning trees, shrubs, and hedges using appropriate techniques · Planting, watering, fertilizing, and general plant care · Identifying and treating weeds, pests, and plant diseases · Soil preparation including mulching and composting · Operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment · Assisting with irrigation installation and maintenance · Supporting landscape improvement works · Removing green waste and maintaining clean and safe worksites · Complying with workplace health and safety requirements Skills, Qualifications & Experience · AQF Certificate III or higher in Horticulture, Parks & Gardens, or related field; or at least 1 year of relevant work experience · Demonstrated experience in gardening or landscaping · Knowledge of plant care, soil conditions, and irrigation systems · Ability to identify and treat pests, weeds, and plant diseases · Experience using gardening tools and equipment safely · Understanding of WHS practices · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · Strong attention to detail and reliability What We Offer · Full-time, ongoing employment · Competitive salary aligned with market rates · Supportive team environment · Opportunity for skills development and career progression
