About the Opportunity We’re looking for a Training Specialist to support the design and delivery of training for a major operational program within our Operations and Maintenance group. This role will play a key part in developing practical, fit-for-purpose learning solutions that support contract mobilisation and onboarding under the One System for Maintenance (OS4M) program. You’ll work closely with program leads and operational stakeholders to ensure training is clear, effective and aligned to how work is actually performed in the field. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can step into a complex environment, pick things up quickly, and deliver structured, high-quality training outcomes. This is a temporary fixed term opportunity up to 16 October, 2026. What You’ll Deliver Design and develop training materials to support onboarding and mobilisation activities Deliver engaging face-to-face and virtual training sessions to diverse operational audiences Translate complex operational processes into clear, practical learning solutions Support the development of broader learning programs aligned to Urban Utilities frameworks Contribute to project planning and ensure training activities align to program milestones Work closely with stakeholders to build understanding, capability and buy-in About You You’re practical, structured and outcomes-focused. You understand that good training is not just well-designed, it works in the real world. You’re comfortable working in evolving environments, engaging with operational teams, and adapting your approach to suit different audiences. Experience designing and delivering adult learning solutions in a complex environment Strong instructional design capability with the ability to simplify technical or operational content Experience delivering training to frontline or operational workforces Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight timeframes Strong stakeholder engagement skills and confidence working across multiple teams Highly regarded: Experience in heavy industry environments (utilities, construction, operations, maintenance or WHS) Experience supporting large-scale transformation, mobilisation or system implementation programs At UU, we celebrate diversity.
