Your opportunity: The Financial Transaction Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of efficient, cost-effective financial transaction services across payroll, accounts payable, receipting, reconciliation, and administration. You will drive continuous improvement and automation to enhance service delivery, while ensuring strong compliance and robust financial controls. The role also provides valuable analytics and insights to support effective cost management and informed decision-making. About you: You’ll bring proven experience leading financial transaction services across payroll, accounts payable, receipting, and reconciliation, with a strong focus on controls, compliance, and governance. You’re confident translating legislation and policy into effective processes, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, automate services, and deliver better outcomes. You use data and insights to manage spend and support sound decision-making. You’re also a capable leader and collaborator, able to build strong stakeholder relationships and influence outcomes across the business. With experience driving process and system improvements, you contribute to modern, streamlined financial operations, while leading and developing a high-performing team aligned to organisational goals. You will also have; Degree qualification in Business or a related discipline, with specialist training in financial transactions management CPA or CA qualification (desirable) Proven experience in financial transactions management, with the ability to manage a broad range of scenarios and provide expert advice Demonstrated management experience, including planning and coordinating resources to achieve business objectives Strong track record of delivering outcomes within defined timeframes and organisational priorities At Urban Utilities, we believe our workforce should reflect the community we serve.
