We are seeking an experienced Contracts and Procurement Manager – Civils who will be responsible for driving and overseeing all commercial, contract, and procurement activities to support successful project delivery. About the role As the Contracts & Procurement Manager, you will lead all contractual and procurement activities across the Civils scopes of work on a major infrastructure project. This role is critical to ensuring value for money, strong governance, and compliant delivery across design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases. Key responsibilities Lead and administer all contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with project deeds, regulatory requirements, and applicable legislation. Develop, implement, and maintain the Contract Management Plan and Subcontract Packaging and Procurement Plan. Manage variations, claims, disputes, and adjustment events, including approval and escalation processes. Lead end-to-end procurement activities including RFx, tender evaluation, award, and contract execution. Monitor supplier performance, manage long-lead items, and mitigate commercial and supply chain risks. Provide commercial advice, reporting, forecasting, and input to cost management and monthly progress reports. Act as the key commercial interface with project partners, subcontractors, auditors, and assurance bodies. Required Skills and Competencies Degree in Commercial Management, Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline. Extensive experience in contract and procurement management on major infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of contract law, risk allocation, and procurement strategy. Experience working within government, regulated, or social procurement frameworks (energy or transmission projects desirable). Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and commercial governance skills.
