Job Title: Account Manager – Retail (B2C, B2B & A&D) Location: Melbourne Department: Sales Reports To: Business Development Manager (BDM) Remuneration: Circa $85,000 – $90,000 bonus $15,000 Car Position Purpose The Account Manager – Retail will support the Business Development Manager in managing a diverse portfolio across B2C retail, B2B trade partners, and A&D (Architects & Designers) clients throughout Melbourne. This role is focused on strengthening relationships, driving in-store and project-based sales, and ensuring a seamless experience across consumer, trade, and specification channels. Key Responsibilities Account Management (B2C, B2B & A&D) Support the BDM in managing a mix of retail (B2C), trade/commercial (B2B), and A&D clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers, franchisees, trade partners, and architects/designers. Ensure consistent engagement and a high level of service across all channels. Proactively manage and resolve client queries and issues. Sales & Account Growth Assist in driving sales performance across retail stores, trade accounts, and specification opportunities. Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and increase project pipeline through A&D networks. Support execution of account plans aligned to broader business objectives. Merchandising & In-Store Execution Ensure visual merchandising and brand standards are executed consistently across retail locations. Support product launches, promotions, and in-store campaigns. Work with clients to optimise product placement and presentation. A&D Engagement & Specification Support Build relationships within the A&D community to drive product specification. Support product presentations, showroom walkthroughs, and design consultations. Assist in tracking and converting specification opportunities into sales. Client Engagement & Training Support product training sessions for retail staff, trade partners, and A&D clients. Act as a key day-to-day contact across all client types. Build product knowledge capability across partner networks. Collaboration & Reporting Maintain accurate CRM records of client interactions, projects, and opportunities. Provide insights and feedback from retail, trade, and A&D channels to internal teams. Assist with reporting on sales performance, project pipelines, and growth opportunities. Work Environment Full-time role based in Melbourne with regular travel across metro locations. Mix of showroom visits, retail engagement, and meetings with trade and A&D clients. Collaborative, fast-paced, and growth-focused environment. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Experience in account management, retail, or sales across B2C and/or B2B environments. Strong relationship management and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups including retail, trade, and design professionals. Commercial mindset with a proactive approach to growth. Desirable: Experience within retail, interiors, furniture, or related industries. Exposure to A&D (architects & designers) or specification sales environments. Understanding of project-based sales cycles and stakeholder management.
