Seeking a hands-on Principal AI Engineer for a founding role within a small high performance teamYour new companyA global technology organisation specialising in AI-led transformation at enterprise scale. The business partners with complex, data-rich organisations to move machine learning and GenAI solutions from experimentation through to reliable, production-grade systems. Your new roleThis role sits at the intersection of engineering, solution design and client engagement, shaping and validating AI solutions that can be confidently sold, delivered and scaled across enterprise environments.You'll act as a trusted technical partner for senior client stakeholders, helping them understand what is feasible, valuable and production-ready, while supporting early engagement phases and guiding delivery teams through build and deployment.Responsibilities include: Shaping and articulating AI and GenAI solutions to senior technical and non-technical stakeholders Validating the technical feasibility, performance and scalability of ML and GenAI use cases Supporting pre-sales discussions by explaining solution design, delivery approach and technical trade-offs Demonstrating clear pathways from PoC and pilot into full production environments Working closely with architects and commercial teams to ensure solutions are both credible and sellable Providing input into effort estimation, delivery approach and technical risk management Acting as a bridge between client-facing teams and offshore engineering groups Advising on MLOps practices, model lifecycle management and long-term sustainability What you'll need to succeed Strong hands-on experience designing, building and deploying ML and AI solutions Proven ability to engage confidently with senior client stakeholders and decision-makers Experience explaining complex AI concepts in clear, commercially relevant terms Solid understanding of MLOps, model lifecycle management and production AI systems Track record of industrialising PoCs into enterprise-grade solutions Exposure to GenAI implementations, fine-tuning techniques and performance optimisation Familiarity with monitoring, reliability engineering and AI risk considerations Comfort operating in client-facing environments where credibility and communication matter What you'll get in return Opportunities to work on enterprise-scale AI programmes from early engagement through to production A senior, influential role blending technical depth with client-facing impact Exposure to complex stakeholder environments and high-value AI use cases Access to modern AI tooling, cloud platforms and mature production environments Clear pathways for technical and professional progression A collaborative engineering culture focused on quality, governance and responsible AI If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
