UX Designer Daily Rate: $800-$900 Super per day Contract Duration: Initial 3 months with a high likelihood of extension due to the program pipeline Start: ASAP Location: Sydney CBD, (Hybrid) An exciting opportunity for a UX Designer to join a large, customer-centric digital transformation program focused on customer journeys, e-commerce and self-service within a complex family of household brands. This role will play a key part in shaping intuitive, accessible and consistent digital experiences across the organisation's self-service app, web and e-commerce platforms. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary digital team, you'll help define how customers interact with products and services end-to-end, balancing user needs, business outcomes and technical constraints. Role purpose & environment As a UX Designer, you will contribute to the overall experience vision across key digital journeys. You'll partner closely with Product, Content, Visual Design, Engineering and Delivery teams to create user-centred solutions that are practical, scalable and aligned with broader transformation initiatives. This is a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift, so adaptability, ownership and strong collaboration are essential. Key responsibilities Design intuitive, user-centred experiences across self-service apps, web and e-commerce journeys Apply UX best practice across discovery, definition and delivery phases Translate research, insights and business requirements into journey maps, flows, wireframes and prototypes Collaborate closely with UX Content Designers and Visual Designers to deliver cohesive end-to-end experiences. Engage with stakeholders and delivery teams to understand problems and shape effective design solutions Participate in project and transformation initiatives, balancing user needs with commercial and technical realities Work within agile delivery teams, contributing to planning, showcases and iteration cycles Conduct and support usability testing and design validation activities Engage with developers for early feasibility checks and design handovers Take ownership of assigned initiatives, managing priorities and delivering outcomes with minimal supervision. Contribute to shared design patterns, standards and continuous improvement of design practice Knowledge & experience (preferred & recommended) Proven experience as a UX Designer working on digital products or platforms, ideally with self-service or transactional journeys, ideally within a Telco organisation. Strong experience designing within agile, cross-functional teams Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma or equivalent Demonstrated ability to distil complex problems into clear, usable design solutions Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Experience working across multiple initiatives in parallel without compromising quality Pragmatic approach to balancing user experience, business objectives and delivery constraints High level of ownership, accountability and attention to detail Comfortable adapting quickly to changing priorities and programme demands Experience working in large-scale or regulated environments (e.g. telecoms, utilities, financial services) What to do next?
