About the Role: We are seeking a professional and motivated Learning and Development Officer to join our team with Snowy Monaro Regional Council. This role plays a key part in supporting organisational capability by coordinating and delivering a broad range of learning initiatives, including in-house face‑to‑face training, online learning programs, and development activities delivered through both internal and external training providers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate confidence, reliability, and a strong ability to use initiative as an inherent part of their working style. You will be required to work collaboratively within a team environment while also exercising sound judgement and autonomy in managing priorities and identifying opportunities for improvement. Source and coordinate training programs including corporate training, induction and information sessions Assist in the development and implementation of Council’s Corporate Training Plan ensuring the organisation meets its obligations under the Local Government (State) Award Support coordination of compliance training as required to ensure Council’s workforce is suitably skilled and qualified to carry out the requirements of their roles and deliver positive outcomes Determine, develop and implement blended learning platforms, such as face to face, online and self-paced learning options Administration, support and ensure optimisation of the implementation and use of Council’s learning management system Contribute to ongoing review of workforce management policies ensuring they reflect contemporary practice and are consistent across Council Promote information sharing and knowledge transfer to drive evidence-based decision-making, enhance capability and optimise capacity About You: To be successful in this role you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Training & Assessment, Human Resources, Organisational Development, Education, or a related field Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels, supporting a culture of learning and capability development.
